At the family-owned Purple Hill Kennels, our suites have been custom-designed for your dog and cat's comfort, with only 24 X-Large suites and 3 spacious grass runs in our former sheep fields — we know everyone's special needs, and have created a calmer, personal and especially fun retreat.
The Dog Daycare Days
Every dog enjoys daycare in their own way. Some guests love to run, socialize, play, and explore spacious runs, while others, including our senior guests, may prefer a slower pace with extra time to relax or enjoy a walk. Our daycare experience combines supervised outdoor fun, fresh country air, and personalized care so every dog can have a comfortable, happy day, with exercise and enrichment included at no additional cost.

The Dog Boarding Retreat
Custom-designed X-Large suites feature air conditioning, heated floors, and a thoughtfully designed low-stress environment created for your dog’s comfort. With only 24 suites positioned to minimize visual stress between guests, we provide specialized care, personalized attention, and plenty of outdoor time for every stay. Because comfort matters even at bedtime, our guests enjoy one last outdoor opportunity in the evening before resting for the night.
Need accommodation for pick up; easily add on a daycare day for a reduced cost.
The Calm Cat Boarding Retreat
A retreat designed for your cat’s comfort in mind. We go above and beyond to meet your cat’s true needs, offering cozy beds, soft blankets, toys, cat trees, and purple-themed rooms that help them feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. Each cat receives one-on-one attention through play, affection, cuddles, and companionship tailored to what makes them feel most comfortable. For longer stays, cats can enjoy exploration areas and continued enrichment. Rabbits are also welcome!
*Coming September: Each cat will have their own window view to enjoy the sights and stimulation of the outdoors.

*Shared boarding is only available for pets from the same household that can safely and comfortably share a suite. Boarding rates are applied per night and your pet(s) must be picked up by 10:00 am on the final day. If you need a later pick up, you can add a reduced daycare play package for an additional $20.00 for dogs. Please let us know about late pick up at drop-off if possible — we’re happy to accommodate when we can.

Care Service; Bathing & Brush
Bathing & Brushing can be included in your guest stay. Specialized room includes bath, brushing table and all the tools for a freshen up!
Add on this care enhancement to your booking when you use our online booking system in "add ons" for the size of your fur-family member!

Comfort Items
Beds/Blankets are provided. If you wish, bring a t-shirt or towel with your scent on it for added comfort.
Non-hazardous Toys are accepted in their kennel suites to bring a familiar touch and support wellbeing.

Food & Medication
Our guest fridge has space for cold food storage if feeding raw or canned food.
Importantly bring your sealed container of food for the duration of you pet(s) stay.
Kindly individually prepare daily servings of raw food diet and we will do the rest.
We are happy and prepared to administer supplements in original packaging with carefully written directions as well as only oral medication's which must be in original container with directions from the vet.

Health & Safety; Vaccination
With best-practices and wellbeing in mind, your dog or cat, puppy or kitten must be up to date on required vaccinations for their stay.
*Helpful Planning Note: The Dog Bordetella vaccine can be administered by 3 different methods Intranasal (3 day incubation), Oral (5 day incubation) and injection (14 day incubation) so please keep this in mind when receiving this vaccination. Vaccines take effect typically within 14 days, although past doses may have some carryover protection.
Cats require Rabies and combination FVRCP.
Flea treatment is a suggestion, but not required.

Spay&Neuter Health Standard
To support a calm, safe environment for all guests and reduce stress-related behaviours we require all pets to be spayed or neutered.
*Wondering about Timeline? All dogs over the age of 9 months must be spayed or neutered. Males and Females co-mingle in the same play groups.

Safe Social Compatibility
We encourage healthy socialization and positive dog grouping experiences that is suitable to each dog's needs and personality. This means understanding each guests sociability, thus we actively accommodate our groups by behaviour needs.
To create this Safe Environment dogs should be non-aggressive to humans and animals and able to safely co-exist in a tailored social environment.
*Boarding dogs or cats together? We are glad to keep fur-family members in their shared suite if this does not cause undo stress and they are able to eat together peacefully.
